Bane is Batman's archenemy, a cunning strategist with great strenght.
Origin[]
The law of the Santa Prisca island said that at the death of a criminal, his wife and unborn child should take his punishment, so the man only known as Bane was born and grew up in the Peña Duro prison. After years, Bane became the king of the prisoners and had books smuggled to his cell to become cultured. The warden, trying to kill Bane, made him subject of an experimental steroid named Venom. Bane survived and left Peña Duro for Gotham City, where he made Batman his enemy to become king of the city. Bane caused a massive breakout from Arkham Asylum, so after an exhausted Batman recaptured is enemies, Bane ambushed him at Wayne Manor and defeated him. Batman recovered some time later, but he and Bane have been bitter enemies since then.
